Filter based on history of the attribute

Is it possible to filter out the objects that are modified based on history of the objects excluding a particular attribute.

For Eg. Consider the list of objects that are modified in object text and an attribute "a". I want to filter out the objects that are modified based on the object text only. i don't want to really care about the changes made in the attribute "a".

Yes, but you have to write the DXL. Look at the accept and reject functions, as well as how to loop through the history of an object. If object text has changed, then accept object, otherwise reject.

Can you please tell me how to filter only for the object text. Is there any specific command for performing this??

bool   HasTextChangedSinceBaseline(Object obj)
{

    History  hst

    for hst in obj do
    {  if (hst.type == modifyObject    and
           hst.attrName == "Object Text") return(true)
    }
    return(false)
}

current = mod
filtering off
for obj in mod do
{ if (HasTextChangedSinceBaseline(obj)) //-
then accept obj
else reject obj
}
filting on

I'm trying to retreive history from the old text value. If there is any change in the OLE, is it possible to retreive the old OLE based on the history? or should I go back to the baselined document and pull in the OLE from the same object?

There is some option somewhere to reduce History size by NOT recording the OLE diagrams (which are huge, 1mb+) in History. If the change was made with that setting, you will not be able to retrieve the OLE from History. Since its possible that some History has some OLE and some does not then it seems to be routinely finding the object and getting the current (baselined) OLE makes sense.
